ABOUT THE PROJECT: IN POST-PRODUCTION
Therapy Sessions follows Jamila Davis. A young black woman dealing with trauma of a different magnitude. Feeling hesitant about therapy in general she decides to give it a try only to find that her Therapist is a white woman. Not keen on both, her guard is up. Jamila is not the kindest yet is met with patience and warmth. Slowly letting her guard down. She begins to relive all the horrors of her life. Including death, rape and love. As sessions continue Dr. Ingram learns about culture and Jamila learns a bit of patience and that not everyone has evil intent.
